A pink Lake

You think all lakes would be blue or green in color, wait until you learn there is a pink lake. Somewhere at the western islands of Australia, a pink colored lake exists. Much as it may look like it is a light trick, it retains its hue even when moved.
Methane bubbling out from a lake

What lies underneath the surface of Abrahams Lake in Alberta, Canada is no just frozen jewel as they appear to be but bubbles of Methane which is a highly flammable gas. As organic matter dies and falls at the floor of the lake, it is eaten by bacteria producing methane. Bubbles form as it comes into contact with the surface of the lake which is frozen.
Salt flats in Bolivia

It not just a mirrored wonderland but rather reflective salt flats. Located in Bolivia, this salt flats are as a result of transformation of several prehistoric lakes.
