A humble start
Beginning in the late 1950’s, brothers Wayne, Merrill, Jay, and Alan began performing to pay for hearing-aids for other members of the family as well as to raise money for Church serving missions, these were the Original ‘’barbershop quartet’’. In 1971, Donny and Jimmy joined the already existing members to form The Osmonds pop band. The group was wildly successful, their first number one hit being ‘’One Bad Apple’’ in November of that year. Cameos by sister Marie were also well received and she launched a successful solo career despite her young age.
